A: Well, I’ve been doing this for a long time in central and northern New Jersey, and most customers want a quality job at a fair price. I learned a long time ago that delivering quality and value leads to repeat business and referrals. I’ve built my business on that principle.

Q: Why do you use Benjamin Moore Paint?

A: I’ve used many brands of paint, and I’ve found that Benjamin Moore Paint goes on well, looks good for years, resists stains and scuffs, and cleans well. If a customer insists on another brand, we can and will use it. However, most of my customers demand and appreciate that we use Benjamin Moore Paints.

Q: Can customers get another brand’s color in Benjamin Moore Paint?

A: Yes, if they have the color’s name and the brand’s code number off the swatch or old paint can. We can get any color made up from any brand in a Benjamin Moore Paint.

Q: Should homeowners paint it themselves?

A: Sure, some homeowners could do it themselves. However, my teams are made up of professionals with years of experience painting day in and day out. They can get better results quickly and neatly. My teams show up on time, work fast, and avoid spills and mistakes. 

Q: John, you have often said you have paint in your blood—what did you mean?

A: Funny that people ask about that. I’ve run John’s Painting Contractor in central and northern New Jersey for nearly 30 years. The thing that most people don’t know is that I was a New York City painting inspector for more than 20 years. In fact, I grew up around the paint business. My mom and dad, owned a local paint store in Queens, NY for many years.

Q: How is John’s Painting Contractor different from other painting contractors?


A: Well, beyond being in business for nearly 30 years, we treat people like family. I value my customers and want to help them improve their homes.

Furthermore, I’m not a “jack-of-all-trades”. Some of my competitors want to try and do everything. I believe in specializing in paints and applied coatings like stains and sealants. If a customer needs a major rebuild, I know many specialized contractors who can help them do it right—like us.
